Nibblefest 'Clickable Banner' Update: Please Read

ATTENTION,
NIBBLEFEST PARTICIPANTS....!

IMPORTANT 3/18/13 NOTICE OF NFAC 'CLICKABLE BANNER' UPDATE:

Please note the link to the image for the NFAC Clickable Banner has changed (apparently Photobucket made some changes and neglected to tell anyone), so we have moved the link to another hosting service. If you as a NFAC participant continue to use the old html, you'll get an "image not found" banner in your auction.

The new link can be found in the "Clickable Banner Instructions," found in the September 19th blog post here:   http://nibblefest.blogspot.com/2012/09/new-clickable-banner_19.html
Please just copy & paste the link to your auction template (you should only have to do it once if you use the same template every month).

For those of you who have trouble understanding how to use the clickable banner, please try your best to figure it out (the instructions are very clear, and you can also email to ask the NFAC moderators if you're running into trouble).
Please remember that by using the NFAC clickable banner, fellow contestants are also directing traffic to your auctions. This is only reciprocated if you yourself are including the banner in kind...it's a way of advertising our contest that will only work if everyone does it.

March's Nibblefest Art Contest Theme: "Nursery Rhymes"

"The Man in the Moon, came down too soon,
And asked his way to Norwich.
They sent him South, and he burnt his mouth
By eating cold peas porridge...."

Painting by Nibblefest Artist, Tammy Gulat

(Or, was it actually the RAT in the Moon....?)

Whatever the case may be, the fact of the matter remains that our next round of the Nibblefest Art Contest begins in just ONE week....!

(on the 20th)

The theme for March is

  "Nursery Rhymes"

How many of us can still recall the nursery rhymes of our youth...?

Thanks to their simple structure and repetitive nature, it's no surprise how we may find these funny wee poems echoing in our minds, even as adults, just as they continue to remain popular with children yet today.  Simply worded in short metered verses, and often describing fanciful subjects, these same enchanting phrases we first heard as infants may in fact in some cases be centuries old.  Passed down from one generation to the next, nursery rhymes are typically a child's first introduction to Poetry -- as such, they are thought by some to play a significant part in early childhood language development.   Others argue that many of these traditional little poems of olde actually harbor hidden messages, reflective of the popular culture, even spoofing the politics, of their time -- all while we ourselves continue to recite them verbatim today, their original meaning lost to us.  Regardless, one thing is certain:  we have those clever and often anonymous poets of yesteryear to thank for so many long and happy hours of early childhood tradition, education and entertainment....,

...and all due to their much-beloved, original Nursery Rhyme classics.
